SHIFT:
Monday through Friday 8 am to 4 pm at is at Moffett Field Air Base


SUMMARY:


The group site job coach will work as part of the Supported Employment team to train and supervisor clients in a group site setting.

The position is responsible for filling out daily paperwork, creating annual goals, being a liaison between Kainos and the business contract, and completing all tasks of the contract.

As well as, being responsible for transporting of clients from the contract from their group home and is responsible for inspecting the vehicles and ensuring that the clients are transported safely.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Supervise a team of individuals with a disability while working Indoor Maintenance at Moffett Field.
  • When applicable, be responsible for transportation of clients to and from their work site. Attend driver training. Keep up to paperwork on vehicles.
  • Analyze the job tasks and break them down into simpler parts which will be easier for the clients to understand. Make copies available to the client and other staff who may be called into job coach. Submit copies to the Supported Employment Coordinator.
  • Train clients in new or unfamiliar tasks as necessary.
  • Assist integration into the work site. Be responsible for educating employers on limitations and disabilities of our clients.
  • When necessary, perform and complete tasks that the clients in the group are unable to complete.
  • Dress should always be professional and appropriate for the location, culture and type of business that you are working.
  • It is the group site job coach's responsibility to keep the group site fully staffed at all times. When a client calls in sick or requests vacation time, the group site job coach is to let the Supported Employment Coordinator know immediately as to make arrangements for substitutes.
  • Complete all client daily progress reports and time sheets. Complete all other paper work and training procedures as assigned by the Supported Employment Coordinator.
  • Communicate weekly with the Supported Employment Coordinator to discuss goals and progress of the clients.
  • Provide supervision to the group at all times while in the community.
  • Work with the "employer liaison" with any problems or questions about the work site or tasks asked to perform.
  • Attend all staff meetings.
  • As requested, conduct evaluations and provide verbal feedback on workers
  • Attend all IHSP (Individual Habilitation Service Plan) meetings as scheduled.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:


  • BA degree in psychology or a related field and/or two years' experience in a vocational rehabilitation working with individuals with developmental disabilities are preferred.
  • Prior work experience in vocational training or professional experience performing the type of work that is required by the contract is preferred.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License and be able to drive clients when needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ability to remain on your feet for a 4 hour period.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and pull repetitively for up to a 4 hour period.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs repetitively and up to 50 lbs with assistance.
