Position Summary Title:
Open Rank, Open Track - Neuro-hospitalist
The University of New Mexico, School of Medicine, Department of Neurology seeks a qualified Neuro-hospitalist.
The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary group of Neurology faculty in providing quality patient care in the inpatient neuro-hospitalist, stroke service and teleneurology service at UNM Hospital.
Academic responsibilities include participation in teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows and research activities of the department.
UNM Hospital is the tertiary care center for the State and the only Comprehensive Stroke Center, NAEC level 4 epilepsy center, and ALS / MDA center in the State.
The Department of Neurology has 42 full-time and part-time attending physicians and is home to well-established Residency and multiple Fellowship programs.
About Albuquerque, New MexicoAlbuquerque, NM is a beautiful city with Sandia Mountains to the east and mesa to the west.
At more than a mile-high elevation, this high desert environment provides beautiful sunny days but also the variety of all four seasons.
It is ideal for outdoor activities and sports all year-round including running, hiking, biking and skiing.Albuquerque is 1 hour from Santa Fe, NM and 2.5 hours from Taos, NM, both world famous for their art and culture.
