Description
The Springfield Police Department is looking for a dedicated Investigative Services Specialist to join our Criminal Investigations Division. This critical civilian role supports sworn personnel by managing investigative documentation, evidence-related records, case files, and sensitive information that directly impacts public safety and criminal investigations.

What You'll Do
- Provide administrative and technical support to investigative units
- Maintain, organize, and audit case files and investigative records
- Enter and retrieve data from law enforcement databases
- Assist detectives with documentation, reports, and evidence tracking

- Experience with records management or legal documentation preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems

Qualifications and Requirements
Experience, Education, and Training
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate's degree or equivalent in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Communications or related area;
OR
- Two years' experience with criminal justice system experience as a victim advocate, probationary officer, court clerk or closely related occupation.
Licensing/Certification
- Obtain and Maintain State certification as a MULES terminal operator;
- Valid Driver's License
