Job description
The Springfield Police Department is looking for a dedicated Investigative Services Specialist to join our Criminal Investigations Division.This critical civilian role supports sworn personnel by managing investigative documentation, evidence-related records, case files, and sensitive information that directly impacts public safety and criminal investigations.

Provide administrative and technical support to investigative units
Maintain, organize, and audit case files and investigative records
Enter and retrieve data from law enforcement databases
Assist detectives with documentation, reports, and evidence tracking

Experience with records management or legal documentation preferred

Qualifications And Requirements
Experience, Education, and Training
Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate's degree or equivalent in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Communications or related area;
OR
Two years' experience with criminal justice system experience as a victim advocate, probationary officer, court clerk or closely related occupation.
Obtain and Maintain State certification as a MULES terminal operator;
Valid Driver's License
