Position Summary:
Crater/Loaders are primarily responsible for the proper crating and loading of completed signs.
Duties include building wooden shipping crates for products, loading trucks/trailers for shipment, planning loads for similar destinations, and optimizing space.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

- Read and understand blueprints, drawings, written procedures, and verbal instructions.
- Cut lumber and other materials with panel, miter or radial arm saws, and other hand tools.
- Assemble boxes, crates or other materials to prepare finished products for secure shipping.
- Read and understand the computerized shipping schedule to ensure ontime delivery.
- Load trucks/trailers for shipment.

Requirements:
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Proficient use of computer for reading a shipping schedule, loading pictures, and unloading trucks when needed.
- Ability to use hand tools and power saw.
- Rough carpentry skills.
- Proficiency in basic math.
- Ability to use a tape measure.
- Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane.
- Ability to stand and walk in approximately a 200 ft. radius for 810 hours/day.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 5080 lbs.
- Ability to maintain correct postures while reaching, bending, crouching, kneeling, and twisting.
- Ability to reach horizontally across a work surface beyond 12" from the body up to full body extension.
