Overview:


As a National Account Manager specializing in the your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts within the home center sector.

You will work closely with retailers, distributors, and internal stakeholders to drive sales, increase market share, and maximize profitability for our products within this specific channel.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key home center retailers, such as Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards and other regional chains, to understand their business objectives and align our product offerings to meet their needs.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive account plans that outline sales objectives, promotional strategies, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives tailored to the home center channel.
  • Sales Growth: Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and implementing sales strategies to increase product distribution and shelf space within home center stores.
  • Forecasting and Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and make informed business decisions.

Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product development, supply chain, and finance to ensure alignment on strategies and execution plans for the home center channel.


  • Promotional Activities: Plan and execute promotional activities, including instore promotions, displays, and events, to increase brand visibility and drive sales within home center stores.
  • Budget Management: Manage and allocate resources effectively within the allocated budget to maximize return on investment and achieve sales targets.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for home center accounts, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and providing exceptional customer service to maintain longterm partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven track record of success in national account management within the consumer goods industry, with specific experience in the home center channel.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising principles, and category management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a crossfunctional team environment and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Resultsoriented with a focus on driving sales growth and achieving targets.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
