Position Description:


Ensures the security and safety of all assets within the supply chain, including inventory, facilities, fleet, Team Members, and customers for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities.

Strong understanding of supply chain operations, risk management, and Asset Protection strategies.

Focus will be on the effective safety protocols to safeguard assets, mitigate risks, and maintain a secure working environment while reducing exposure to theft-related loss.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with other departments, monitors security incidents, trends, and patterns to identify potential threats, and develops strategies for mitigating risks.
  • Collaborates with crossfunctional teams to establish and enforce theft prevention measures, accesses control systems, and safety protocols.
  • Establishes and facilitates community and outside warehouse relationships that facilitate impactful risk reduction to the Company divisions and brand, while maintaining safe physical sites.
  • Provides training and education to Team Members on Asset Protection, Security, and Safety protocols.
  • Stays uptodate with emerging trends and technologies, recommends upgrades and improvements as necessary.
  • Conducts compliance and audits, quality assurance, and risk assessments.
  • Manages, conducts, and resolves internal investigations for theft and safety concerns, keeps accurate records using approved software.
  • Reviews CCTV and conducts surveillance as needed.
  • Analyzes information and evidence to identify theft and safety needs, including near misses.
  • Develops and implements emergency response plans, evacuation plans, communication protocols, and incident management through partnerships.
  • Conducts postincident analysis and identifies areas for theft and safety improvements.
  • Develops and supports investigations to all Asset Protection, Safety, and Fleet services as needed.
  • Develops and maintains dashboards to support the assessment of areas of responsibility.
  • Monitors the performance of security and related technology systems, including alarms, surveillance cameras, access control, and related technology, takes corrective actions as needed.
  • Conducts risk assessments, partners with others as needed to identify potential security vulnerabilities, and develops plans to mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work within multiple Asset Protection, Safety, and Fleet software platforms. Keeps uptodate on existing software, and future software.
  • Stays uptodate with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to Asset Protection, Safety, Fleet, and investigations.
  • Identifies, develops, and maintains appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with legal counsel and external agencies when necessary to address theft, safety, compliance matters and legal proceedings.
  • Provides guidance and training to Team Members on Asset Protection, Safety, incident reporting, and investigations.
  • Manages relationships with vendors, Company departments, law enforcement and other stakeholders that focus on mitigating risk and shrink.
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure that theft and safety measures are integrated into the business strategy.
  • Assists in ensuring Company compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies related to Asset Protection, Safety, and Fleet.
  • Supports internal and external audits by providing data, documentation, and assistance in evaluating security data and controls.
  • Identifies areas of noncompliance or potential vulnerabilities and recommend actions.
  • Identifies needs, develops, and delivers trainings as needed.
  • Reviews communications in a timely manner, checks for issues and addresses them appropriately.
  • Maintains investigation skills for theft and fraud to maximize technology integration and usage.
  • Maintains all related investigation training and certification.
  • Must have a valid stateissued driver's license. Ability to safely operate reliable personal vehicles, and company vehicles, including the process of renting and operating rental vehicles. Travels by vehicle as the driver, to multiple sites, often with little notice, to any locations operated by the Company or vendor. Travels to conferences and training locations are required.
  • Conducts Asset Protection training to improve quality and performance.
  • Attends all meetings as required to promote, and maintains systems and department services.
  • Maintains regular and consistent inperson attendance.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least five years' experience in retail security/loss prevention, including the use of the Wicklander Zulawski (WZ)
