    Job DescriptionBilingual Medical AssistantZip Code: Houston, TX 77015| Location: Northshore AreaEmployment Type: Direct Hire | Workplace Type: On-siteHealthcare Specialty: Nephrology | Salary: $18 - $20 an hourBilingual Medical Assistant's Responsibilities
    • Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, and other important information such as test results.
    • Assist in dialysis procedures.
    • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
    • Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
    • Set up instruments and equipment according to department protocol.
    • Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients and their caregivers.
    • Must be comfortable floating between different clinics (Museum District, Pasadena, Baytown, Clear Lake, Southeast Memorial Pearland)
    Bilingual Medical Assistant's Qualifications
    • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
    • A minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, experience in Nephrology or Primary Care is highly preferred.
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
    • A Medical Assistant diploma is required; A National Medical Assistant Certification is highly preferred.
    • Willingness to commute between different locations (Museum District, Pasadena, Baytown, Clear Lake, Southeast Memorial, and Pearland); A Valid Texas Driver's License is required.
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
