What you will do:

  • Independent procurement of indirect and direct production materials, as well as services in the required quality
  • Obtaining quotes for price, payment, and delivery conditions and creating comparisons
  • Identification of alternative suppliers and replacement products
  • Preparation and participation in contract negotiations
  • Active management of procurement processes and ensuring delivery deadlines
  • Independent supervision and monitoring of all purchasing processes, from needs assessment to invoice control
  • Supplier management, evaluation, audits, and development
  • Observing the market and deriving recommendations
  • Occasional representation tasks in the commercial area
  • Complaint handling

What you bring:

  • Completed degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or a comparable degree program, or completed specialized training (e.g. as an industrial clerk or industrial specialist)
  • Professional experience in purchasing, preferably in the field of machinery or rail vehicle construction
  • Experience in the procurement of electrical components in vehicle construction is an advantage
  • Knowledge of English is desirable
  • Proficient in using common MS Office applications and experience with ERP systems, ideally SIVAS
  • Independent, structured work style with a teamoriented, dedicated, and flexible attitude
