We are seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to join our team at Graystone Manor Huntingdon.As a caregiver, you will play a crucial role in providing attentive and personalized care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being on a daily basis.
We are looking for FT applicants for 3rd Shift (11 pm - 7:30 am).
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning, ensuring safety at all times.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behavior to the appropriate medical personnel or supervisors.
- Foster a supportive and engaging environment by interacting with residents, providing companionship, and encouraging participation in social activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space for residents, including light housekeeping duties and laundry.
- Follow established care plans and protocols tailored to each resident's specific needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other staff to ensure comprehensive and individualized care.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in caregiving or nursing assistant training preferred.
- Prior experience in a similar caregiving role, preferably in a personal care home or assisted living facility.
- Strong communication skills and empathy when interacting with residents and their families.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and attentive in various situations.
- Understanding of basic medical terminology and ability to follow care plans accurately.
- Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and perform necessary tasks.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Clear background check, physical, drug screening and TB test required.
