- Front desk services: Greeting patients, managing phone/communications, scheduling patients in EMR (EPIC), managing clinic metrics. Collecting, verifying and processing insurance, referrals and billing information
- Patient Care as needed: Obtaining patient history, updating medications, preparing cleaning of exam rooms, performing preliminary testing, data entry into EPIC, communication with providers regarding patient history and chief complaint, retinal imaging using Optical Coherence Tomography, capture of retinal photographs and visual field testing.
- The ability to be self-directed, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a high-intensity team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective customer service/communication to patients.
- Phone/fax/computer operation (Microsoft Office and EMR).
- Practicing good HIPAA and COMIRB compliance.
- Knowledge and experience working with Type 1 Diabetes is highly desirable.

- A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
