- Oversee training and ensures competencies
- Provide guidance and direction to day and residential Program Coordinators/Managers on strategies and techniques for effective oversight of medical services provided to the individuals in their programs
- Assist in providing training and direction to residential staff regarding the management of medical emergencies/crisis
- Assist in teaching AMAP classes
- Undertake appropriate follow-up activities with assigned nurses, including training and professional development activities
- Recommend and implement nursing care practices, standards, and procedures
- Assist with the development of new as well as existing nursing treatment plans
- Act as liaison between programs and outside medical providers to ensure individuals receive the best medical care available
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- License and current registration as a RN in the State of New York
- 3+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the delivery of community-based health services to individuals with developments and intellectual disabilities
- 1+ year of supervisory experience
- License and current registration as a RN in the State of New York
- Proficiency in the use of computers, appropriate software, and Outlook email system
- Knowledge of equipment typically used by persons receiving services, including wheelchairs and adaptive devices
- Bachelors Degree
