Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Department for Labor Law and Principles, responsible for all labor and collective bargaining matters for technical, library, administrative, and academic staff
  • Oversee the selection, management, and scheduling of all employees in the department
  • Take overall responsibility for reviewing and implementing new laws, administrative orders, and legal precedents, and develop recommendations for the Human Resources department based on these
  • Handle legal principles and complex individual cases in the areas of labor, civil service, and employee representation law
  • Address issues related to other interest groups (e.g. representatives for people with disabilities, equal opportunities officers)
  • Coordinate labor disputes and employee representation proceedings with external lawyers
  • Establish, support, and coordinate a case management system for complex personnel cases
  • Advise on personnel services (collective bargaining, civil servants) on legal matters and oversee case management with relevant departments
  • Develop standards, coordinate the creation of collective agreements, and take the lead in creating agreements on topics directly related to the Human Resources department (e.g. working hours)
  • Conduct training and workshops for employees in the Human Resources department
