Summer Camp Lifeguards to ensure the safety and well-being of our campers during aquatic activities.

Lifeguards will play a crucial role in providing a safe and enjoyable waterfront experience, enforcing water safety rules, and responding effectively to any emergencies that may arise.

About Us:
Camp Kippewa _ is a dynamic all-girls overnight camp situated in the scenic landscape of Monmouth, Maine.

Our camp offers a traditional camping experience for girls aged 7-15, featuring personalized activity scheduling, a supportive atmosphere, top-notch instruction, and infectious enthusiasm.

Staff join us from June 4th

• August 11th.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise campers during swimming sessions and waterfront activities.
• Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Conduct regular surveillance of the swimming area to identify and respond to potential hazards.
• Provide swim instruction and assistance to campers of varying skill levels.
• Administer first aid and CPR as needed and in accordance with established protocols.
• Participate in regular training sessions to maintain and improve lifeguarding skills.
• Assist with the setup and cleanup of waterfront equipment and facilities.
• Collaborate with other camp staff to ensure the overall safety and wellbeing of campers.

Requirements:

Kippewa carefully selects college-age people whom parents would want their daughters to emulate as role models. Warmth of personality, calmness, independence, quiet strength, inner confidence, and a strong work ethic are essential. A minimum of one year of college is required for all staff members.
