    Azure Cloud Architect

    Contract to Hire

    Onsite - Dallas, TX

    Responsibilities:

    Design and Implementation:

    • Architect, design, and implement scalable and reliable Azure cloud solutions based on business and technical requirements.
    • Deploy and manage virtual machines, storage, networking, and other Azure services.

    Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

    • Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform) to automate the provisioning and management of Azure infrastructure.

    Azure Services:

    • Configure and manage various Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, etc.
    • Optimize and tune the performance of Azure infrastructure components.

    Security:

    • Implement and maintain security best practices in Azure environments.
    • Monitor and respond to security incidents, conduct security assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

    Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

    • Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for Azure resources.
    • Diagnose and resolve issues, and provide technical support to other teams.

    Collaboration:

    • Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of applications and services in the Azure environment.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement cloud-based solutions.

    Cost Management:

    • Implement cost-effective solutions and monitor resource usage to optimize costs.
    • Recommend and implement cost-saving strategies in the Azure environment.

    Documentation:

    • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for Azure architectures, configurations, and processes.

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

    Experience:

    • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud solutions.
    • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform).

    Certifications:

    • Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer, or others are often preferred.

    Skills:

    • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI).
    • Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
    • Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) is a plus.

    Communication:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
