Director of Learning Support Program:

We aim to endow students with timeless values while providing the thoughtful experiences that will prepare them to learn, lead, and grow in the 21st century.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and delivery of the Learning Support Program, recruiting, hiring and supervising LSP faculty in collaboration with the Division Heads.
- Identify students who will require tutorial services and manage the documentation and program developed for those students.
- Oversee the schedule for service and assign tutors to identified students.
- Plan and lead parent conferences for students who are receiving tutorial services, have received outside evaluations and/or have extensive test histories.
- Advise administrators on appropriate accommodations for students who have received educational and neuropsychological assessments.
- Assist faculty in the implementation of appropriate accommodations and provide professional development as needed.
- Attend biweekly Health Team Meetings.
- Share information about appropriate researchbased teaching and learning methods with faculty and parents.
- Coordinate the school's standardized testing program in grades five through nine.
- Consult with the Admissions Department on learning profiles as needed
- Other duties as assigned by the Head of School
Professional Skills and Personal Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education and/or Learning Differences; Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven training and experience in the Orton-Gillingham and/or the Wilson Methods.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and capacity.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and work effectively with personnel, students, and families
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and embrace change in support of the organization's mission and goals
- Maintain confidentiality of all school information
- Ability to prioritize and work under deadlines
- Appreciate diversity and demonstrate cultural competence
- Flexible, nimble thinker, thoughtful and efficient problem solver, strong ability to look ahead and plan effectively, and deftly anticipate and avoid roadblocks
- Joy for life, trustworthy, kind, and approachable, sense of humor, and morally upstanding
