Snelling Staffing is hiring a reliable, trustworthy, and math-knowledgeable candidate to fill a CNC Operator position in Temple, TX


Shifts:
Afternoon/2nd Shift (04:00 PM - 02:30 AM, Monday - Thursday)

Pay rate:
$18+ Qualifications In-depth knowledge of computer and information systems Strong eye for detail Excellent organizational skills In-depth knowledge of metal machinery Excellent reporting and analytical skills Excellent understanding of mechanics, mathematics, and chemistry Ability to interpret 3D drawings and orthographic projection Responsibilities Program, set up, and maintain Swiss-style lathes. Use standard machine tools including, but not limited to drill. press, band saw lathe, press breaks, welding equipment, and a variety of hand, electric, and pneumatic tools. De-burr parts. Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, CAD files, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters. Operates lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points. At times, recover the automation cell from unintentional stops and return the cell to a production-ready status. Perform complex set-ups, and edits and operate established and NPI jobs while ensuring parts conform to specifications and requirements. Work with the engineering department regarding material conditions, best positioning of parts, and tool pressure, as required. In addition to lathe machining duties, cross-training may be required to learn and perform other duties as necessary. Responsible for machine parts on Mazak lathes(Mazatrol CNC control) This person will perform their set-ups, and operate the machines.
