Overview:

Responsibilities:

Conduct mechanical inspections, repairs, and maintenance on a fleet of 28 LRVs, including electromechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Perform maintenance and repair on vehicle maintenance shop equipment.
Install, repair, and service specialized mechanical equipment and machinery.
Utilize maintenance software for diagnosing and troubleshooting LRVs.
Study assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists for work preparation.
Operate equipment and machinery in maintenance shops.
Participate in delivering/unloading LRVs and conducting maneuvers in the shop.
Support activities in the shop and yard, including maintenance and testing.
Provide feedback for preventive maintenance plan improvement.
Complete work orders and reports using maintenance software.
Maintain tools and equipment required for the job.
Identify and correct defects in equipment.
Respond to emergencies as per departmental procedures.
Complete necessary company training.
Perform any other assigned duties.

Desired Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required, technical school preferred.
23 years of industrial maintenance experience.
Experience in railway or transportation environment desired.
Familiarity with software for maintaining rail vehicle systems.
Ability to identify and repair defects, abide by safety rules, and read manuals.
Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.
Availability for varying shifts and outdoor work.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Willingness to work flexible hours.
Subject to on-call status.

Physical Demands:

During the job, the employee may need to stand, walk, sit, lift weights, climb ladders, and more.

Physical activities include climbing, balancing, squatting, kneeling, and lifting heavy objects.
Requires walking and standing for long periods.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and operate tools.
