Description
- Conduct mechanical inspections, repairs, and maintenance on a fleet of 28 LRVs, including electromechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Perform maintenance and repair on vehicle maintenance shop equipment.
- Install, repair, and service specialized mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Utilize maintenance software for diagnosing and troubleshooting LRVs.
- Study assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists for work preparation.
- Operate equipment and machinery in maintenance shops.
- Participate in delivering/unloading LRVs and conducting maneuvers in the shop.
- Support activities in the shop and yard, including maintenance and testing.
- Provide feedback for preventive maintenance plan improvement.
- Complete work orders and reports using maintenance software.
- Maintain tools and equipment required for the job.
- Identify and correct defects in equipment.
- Respond to emergencies as per departmental procedures.
- Complete necessary company training.
- Perform any other assigned duties.
- High school diploma or GED required, technical school preferred.
- 23 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience in railway or transportation environment desired.
- Familiarity with software for maintaining rail vehicle systems.
- Ability to identify and repair defects, abide by safety rules, and read manuals.
- Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.
- Availability for varying shifts and outdoor work.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Subject to on-call status.

- Physical activities include climbing, balancing, squatting, kneeling, and lifting heavy objects.
- Requires walking and standing for long periods.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and operate tools.
