Job summary
This position will perform building maintenance tasks including general maintenance and repairs in areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, HVAC, ground maintenance etc.Duties
- Perform general building maintenance to include wall repair flooring repairs painting mechanical room inspections and repair minor fence repairs lock repairs door repairs hinge repairs fiberglass reinforced plastic FRP installation minor roof repairs carpet Repairs window Repairs sprinkler system Repairs fire alarm system Repairs.
- Must comply with the safety program and tool key control.
- Provides Job Safety Analyses Monitors controls expenses in accordance with the budget Provides supervisor with estimates proposed costs for preventative routine maintenance emergency Repairs Performs electrical troubleshooting minor repaires light switches receptacles resetting circuit breakers power cords light bulb replacement electric door locks HVAC controls other minor repaires directed Performs plumbing troubleshooting minor repaires plumbing fixtures unplug sinks toilets floor drains sewer drain lines emergency non-emergency situations Performs HVAC troubleshooting minor repaires adjustments variety different types HVAC systems patient client laboratory comfort This work includes thermostat T-stat adjustments airflow modifications adjustments clientpatient comfort Administrative duties Maximo work order system labor tracking reconciling Purchasing Cards completing required monthly status reports CDHS training entering submitting accurate timecards within required payroll timeframes Accurately provide labor tracking purchase tracking budget reports status updates required Must complete record keeping tasks utilize State cell phonecomputerwork order tracking Must comply safety program tool key control Snow removal Travel North District sites needed Other duties assigned Painting Paint walls equipment buildings casework structural surfaces brushes rollers spray guns Surfaces may require removal old paint prepare surface prior painting Painting may require mixing colors obtain desired color consistency Cover surfaces drop cloths masking tape paper protect surfaces during painting Fill cracks holes joints caulk putty plaster fillers caulking guns putty knives Remove fixtures pictures doorknobs light fixtures electric switch covers prior painting Prepare surfaces sandpaper scrapers brushes steel wool sanding machines Apply primers sealers prepare new surfaaces bare wood metal oils latex lacquers urethane epoxy stains finish coats Calculate amounts materials estimate costs based surface measurements Read work orders receive instructions supervisor determine work requirements Perform general Drywall duties Hang tape texture drywall plaster patch Some Work involves working fast drying materials Construction new walls ceilings framing All Duties may need performed secure areas patients clients present hospital institutional environment Other duties assigned.
