ABOUT THIS POSITION:
The Water Services Department is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler.
This position plans and schedules work processes and vendors using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) under the direct supervision of the Water Services Utility Supervisor.
The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler plays a key role in improving the efficiency, quality, and productivity of work related to field safety, environmental compliance, and Water Distribution asset management.
The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler supports management in planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting, including dashboard maintenance.
Performing in a lead capacity, this position is required to develop a safe, effective, and efficient work control plan through proper planning and scheduling of work for Water Services Distribution staff and system vendors.
The responsibilities of the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is to develop and maintain summary level schedule reports, milestone charts, critical path analysis, near-term tasks work authorizations, priority-based resource allocations, performance variances, trouble shoot and monitor potential scheduling problems, and support cost/schedule integration.
This position will facilitate and participate in routine schedule reviews, identify major milestones, decision points, project life cycle and other project events.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Understanding of the capabilities, limitations, and functions of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Ability to:
- Plan, schedule, and prioritize work orders.
- Allocate resources and manage multiple tasks.
- Plan and schedule major projects.
- Analyze and develop efficient maintenance procedures.
- Track maintenance performance measures and trends and produce reports thereof.
- Forecast skill and equipment needs.
SALARY:
Pay Range:
$28.17 to $43.71 per hour.
Hiring Range:
$28.17 to $35.96 per hour.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three years of skilled trades experience in electrical, HVAC, building maintenance, or operations and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment plant, facility, or system, including proficiency using a computerized maintenance management system.
- OR Three years of skilled experience planning and scheduling in fields such as electric utilities, property management, chemical manufacturing, largescale manufacturing and hightech manufacturing or other industrial setting.
- This position will require the possession of a Grade 1 Arizona Department of Environmental Quality certification in the appropriate discipline by the end of the probationary period.
- Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

- Drafting, evaluating, and implementing detailed standard operating procedures.
