WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A RESIDENTIAL COORDINATOR


As the Residential Coordinator, your goal is to effectively lead and offer the best employee experience possible all while making sure the clients we support are safe, happy, and healthy.

In this position, you have to be an effective problem-solver, master scheduler, culture creator, and committed to the mission of the company and department.


As a Residential Coordinator you can expect to:

  • Handle all staffing concerns and oversight for the responsibilities of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and House Managers.
  • Address frontline issues that may arise, following through on all solutions, and ensure daily operations are being followed appropriately.
  • Mentor and offer effective feedback to our team of House Managers helping them and their team of DSPs provide consistent, quality services to our clients and staff.
  • Coordinate complex staff schedules to ensure residential group homes are properly staffed and meeting all state regulations.
  • Coordinate all functions within the residential group homes from supply and grocery orders to meal planning, and coordination of activities, for each residential group home.
  • Serve in an oncall rotation and work in ratio with our clients as needed.
  • Assist with all annual licensing requirements.
  • Strong communication skills to professionally and effectively interact with staff, individuals, their families, C-NTA management, and healthcare professionals.
  • Desire to work in a fastpaced environment, remaining solutionfocused and professional at all times while exhibiting a compassionate, calm, and patient demeanor.
  • Must be a team player who works exceedingly well with others.
  • Ability to lift and transfer individuals using proper body mechanics and assistive devices as needed.
  • Must have experience arranging complex staff schedules.
  • Must be solution focused, adaptable and innovative, being able to quickly adapt to changes and have a constant focus on improvement.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, handle oncall responsibilities, and be available to troubleshoot during nontraditional times of day.
  • Ability to split their workweek between the office and our residential group homes.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure and changing conditions.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of an Associates Degree, relevant work experience in the human services or related field, and supervisory experience.
  • Valid, current PA driver's license, successfully complete a driving history record check and have access to reliable transportation.
  • Successfully complete a preemployment physical and drug screen and criminal background check.
