Purpose:

As a Senior Armament Technician, you will be responsible for managing activities and personnel involved in the maintenance and repair of field artillery and armament systems for the Army Prepositioned Stocks - 2 (APS-2) contract.

This includes maintenance and repair of various weapons such as M109's, M1A2's, 120mm mortars, and M242 chain gun M2A3.

You will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing armament systems such as CROWS, Remote Weapons Station (RWS), M777A2 Howitzer, and 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm Mortars.

Your duties will also include cleaning, inspecting, servicing, repairing, and moving weapons in support of APS-2. You will be required to maintain accurate records and receive cross training as directed.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To be successful in this role, you must be able to fulfill the following essential duties:

  • Determine the nature and extent of repairs required, disassemble and examine parts and assemblies, and replace parts as needed.
  • Repair, replace, and modify various components of weapons such as barrel assemblies, upper and lower receivers, gas tubes, and feed trays.
  • Safely use hand tools and shop equipment without assistance.
