Description

• Assess and verify information on mortgage loan documents to determine if borrower and property meet loan standards
• Conduct a comprehensive analysis of loan files to ensure compliance with company, investor, and government criteria
• Evaluate the full credit package and collateral for residential mortgage loans to deliver a top-notch loan product
• Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients
• Communicate loan decisions (approval, suspense, denial) to relevant parties verbally and in writing
• Offer guidance to processors and loan officers regarding guideline interpretations and specific loan files
• Demonstrate proficiency in automated underwriting and guidelines
• Verify the accuracy of all calculations

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a mortgage underwriter
• Familiarity and comprehensive knowledge of FHA/VA lending guidelines is a plus
• Exceptional customer service abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Team player with the capability to work autonomously
• Excel in a fast-paced, high-production setting
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office products; familiarity with Calyx Point is advantageous
