Purpose of this position:


To support the facility by operating the housekeeping department in a cost effective, efficient manner to safely meet residents' needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.


Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED required as well as at least one year in environmental services is preferred.


Work Listing:


  • Follow oral and written instructions.
  • Follow cleaning schedules for the housekeeping department.
  • Follow cleaning procedures in accordance with Facility policy.
  • Follow Facility safety program and hold subordinates accountable to same.
  • Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
  • Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
  • Perform all duties assigned in an effective, timely and professional manner.
  • Observe infection control procedures.
  • Follow Residents' Rights policies at all times.
  • Be responsible for the safety of residents related to housekeeping duties.
  • Observe all Facility policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as directed by his/her supervisor.
  • Assume Quality Assurance duties as assigned.
  • Come to work in neat, clean attire and consistently present an appropriate professional appearance.
  • Consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents' representatives, Facility staff,
physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers.


  • Adhere to break, meal and clock in/out procedures.
  • Ensure the QI process is adhered to effectively and consistently for all team members.
  • Adhere to Hazardous Communication policies and procedures including using PPE as
required.


STANDARDS:


Position-Specific:


  • Housekeeping scheduling is completed in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Broken or damaged areas or equipment are consistently reported and addressed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe area.
  • Assist in other areas as requested.

Company-Wide:


  • Live and support the facility values.
  • Represent the facility professionally at all times.
  • Balance the care for residents and team members with the cost of such care.
  • Work in a manner that every interaction ends with a "thank you"

Working Conditions / Physical Environment:

The physical demands and work environment described herein is a representative of those that

generally, must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

  • This position primarily involves standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending/stooping, pushing and pulling (typical weight of 5 lbs. and maximum weight of 30 lbs., approximately), and lifting
(Minimum weight of 5 lbs. and maximum weight of 30 lbs., approximately)

  • The position requires repetitive finger movements as well as hearing and talking on the phone and in person.
  • Must be able to continuously deal effectively with stress created by residents, multiple tasks, noises, interruptions, and work cooperatively as part of the health care team while maintaining a pleasant attitude
