    GENERAL SUMMARY

    The Account Manager, Global Sales – Corporate & Entertainment is responsible for providing support to the entertainment department within the global sales team, as well as managing a portfolio of small to midsize corporate/agency accounts. The efforts of the Account Manager are critical to the daily operations of the Global Sales team and the services provided to our valued Preferred Hotels & Resorts and Beyond Green Members.

    ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

    Under the close supervision of the Senior Director, Global Sales – Corporate & Entertainment, the Account Manager works with all Global Sales Directors handling entertainment market responsibilities with a functional direction also from the SVP Global Sales – Corporate.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    A. Provide sales and administrative support to the Global Sales team to assist in generating revenues from the managed and prospect account base across entertainment and corporate market segments consistent with company goals for the region. This includes pulling CRM reports, managing client lists, and updating client information in CRM and PreferredNet.

    B. Assist the entertainment sales team in responding to member hotel and client questions/requests in a timely manner providing exceptional customer service over the telephone, email, and in person.

    C. Provide support and assistance with key regional and national tradeshows, client events, meetings, sales appointments, and road shows including, but not limited to setting up sales appointments, ordering and preparing sales collateral, arranging outside catering, coordinating transportation details (for airline reservations, hotel reservations, and/or car rental reservations). Will be the central point person working with the Events Team with regard to the Global Sales Client Events.

    D. Manage the Entertainment Rate Programs and CATCH RFP Program along with the Senior Director, Global Sales. Work closely with the Consortia Sales team to launch the RFPs. Update and regularly maintain all relevant documents, systems, and brochures, using programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

    E. Work with Global Sales team to maintain an updated client database that will be used for communication distribution or event invitations.

    F. Provide the entertainment sales team with monthly production reports for the corporate entertainment account performance, group sales performance and entertainment programs. Assist with ad hoc IATA production reports upon request.

    G. Assist with entertainment booking requests and reservations in SynXis Voice Agent tool.

    H. Manage a portfolio of small to midsize corporate RFPs/agency accounts to increase booking performance and market share. Organize, plan, and attend individual sales calls, roadshows, events and showcases in the market on their own or in conjunction with regional events.

    I. Manage and complete ad hoc projects as assigned by the Senior Director, Global Sales – Corporate & Entertainment. Act as Global Sales representative for internal task force projects/initiatives to include but not limited to Agency 360, PreferredNet, CRM, etc.

    J. Assist Global Sales team with Entertainment Group Leads and document in CRM for tracking

    K. Presents a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times to promote the Preferred Hotels & Resorts culture to customers and co-workers.

    L . Exhibits a positive and involved team attitude to all departments and maintains open communication with all co-workers for the best overall performance.

    QUALIFICATIONS


    •A minimum of three years of hospitality/travel industry experience preferred


    •Expert-level computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access


    •Excellent written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail


    •Able to multitask and prioritize work assignments and projects simultaneously and efficiently


    •Knowledge of domestic and international geography, cultures, and hotels.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Currently this position is either hybrid with a split of office and/or remote at home. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is performed on web-based tools, email, and telephone. Ability to travel 10-20% of the time as appropriate to support the overall expectation of the sales component of this position.

    Salary range: USD $45,000-60,000; actual compensation within this range will be based on location, individual skills and experience.
