- Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action
- Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior attorneys to provide legal advice
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
- Communicate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
- Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
- 4+ years of solid litigation experience. Insurance defense experience preferred.
- Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients
- Ability to work with partners and other attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
- Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
- Successful completion of the bar exam
- Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school

Associate Attorney (General Liability/Professional Liability)
We are hiring a litigation associate for the firm's general liability/professional liability practice group in our San Diego office. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in representing both design professionals and miscellaneous professionals. Must have excellent writing and oral advocacy skills and significant experience in discovery and law and motion practice.
