This is the job:

Ensuring legal compliance for the distribution of our auxiliary and operating materials (fuels, oils, cleaning agents, greases, etc.)
Establishing and expanding efficient processes for modern hazardous substance management to ensure national and international compliance with classification, labeling, and packaging
Defining requirements for labels and packaging from technical and legal perspectives
Ensuring compliance with substance bans (REACH, RoHS, etc.) for all STIHL products
Monitoring global regulations related to hazardous substances and communicating them within the company
Representing the company in national and international committees and collaborating with authorities
Advising internal departments and companies within the STIHL network on hazardous substances

We are looking for:

Degree in Chemistry, preferably with a PhD
Extensive professional experience in hazardous substance management
Expert knowledge in REACH and CLP regulations, as well as practical experience in applying relevant national and international regulations (Chemicals Act, Chemicals Prohibition Ordinance, Hazardous Substances Ordinance, etc.)
Expertise according to §11 Chemicals Prohibition Ordinance
Wellstructured, analytical, and goaloriented work style
Excellent communication skills and persuasive abilities at all levels of hierarchy, including fluent English
Confidence and reliability in all levels of collaboration
Willingness to travel for business purposes.
