    Job Description

    Jupiter Power is dedicated to the development and operation of energy storage assets in wholesale electricity markets. The team has a strong track record in the power industry and is looking to expand their team with motivated specialists.

    We are seeking a power industry specialist(s) to support our market activities. Responsibilities include analyzing transmission systems, conducting market simulations, and evaluating market rule changes. The successful candidate will be instrumental in advancing our position in the energy storage market.

    Principal Responsibilities

    • Conduct load flow studies to assess transmission capacity
    • Manage interconnection applications in various ISOs
    • Build relationships with utilities/ISOs
    • Participate in regional planning meetings
    • Support engineering team with project commissioning

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
    • 2 years' experience with load flow studies
    • Strong communication and project management skills
    • Comfortable with ambiguity
    • Willing to take on various responsibilities
    • Comfortable in small team environments
    • Ownership and initiative are key
    • (Preferred) Familiarity with energy storage technologies
    • (Preferred) Experience in transmission planning or market analysis
    • (Preferred) Knowledge of energy markets

    Benefits

    The compensation and benefits package will be competitive and based on the candidate's qualifications. This position is located in Austin, TX or Chicago, IL.
