    Position OverviewRequisition opened for Contractor Conversion Minimum RequirementsPrior non-code welding experience Additional RequirementsQualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.

    Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)Ability to perform welding in hard to reach and awkward positions Ability to walk/stand up to 10 hours per dayAbility to perform work while wearing specialized welding PPEThis position is safety sensitive and may involve the operation of vehicles, operation of equipment, and/or involve work with power tools, or handling of hazardous materials, that could result in injury or damage to person/property/manufacturing process Desired SkillsGood mechanical aptitudeAbility to correctly prepare weld areas and set related equipmentAbility to weld areas of fitted components in a strategic pattern to minimize or avoid warping due to post welding Company OverviewNavistar, Inc.
