- Apply industry and enterprise knowledge, including an understanding of the organizations business strategies and processes, to sustain a BI / analytics roadmap for areas of responsibility.
- Manage a team of analysts and developers. Oversee all key management activities of assigned staff involving recruitment, performance management, development planning, and retention.
- Delegate responsibilities to effectively achieve group goals and align individuals to the best of their abilities, while providing oversight and supervision and appropriate growth in technical, leadership and team membership skills.
- Provide leadership and direction to the BI development team to ensure contributions toward company goals.
- Evaluate technical designs, systems and solutions to ensure sound decisions and investments are made in accordance with application governance policies and standards.
- Oversee feasibility research; develop project timelines and cost estimates. Manage the delivery of assigned projects and ensure project/department milestones/goals are met and budgets adhered to.
- Act as an internal advisor on emerging technologies and recommend technology solutions as a business partner.
- Ensure the compatibility and interoperability of all enterprise systems.
- Ensure continuous delivery of services by monitoring system performance, directing production application support and adhering to service level agreements with end users.
- Source third-party providers, as required.
- Ensure adherence to company and department policies and standards.

- Strong knowledge and 6+ years of functional and technical experience with Microsoft-based development tools and BI design and development. Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining.
- In-depth understanding of database management systems and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.
- Familiar with technical project management and / or leadership skills including the ability to plan, organize, and control activities.

Job Overview: The Manager, Business Intelligence is responsible for the applications and analytics ecosystem, including related strategies, architectures, and operations elements, as assigned. The incumbent ensures the solutions required to support the mission, goals, and operational needs of FXI are provided in a timely, accurate, creative, and cost-effective manner.
The Manager is accountable for continuously enhancing the usability and efficacy of FXIs analytics platform in alignment with the business strategy. Additionally, helps shape business demand by partnering with internal resources to create business cases and plans and ensuring value optimization and communication across teams. In carrying out the functions and responsibilities of the position, s/he is responsible for the total application life-cycle and the processes, policies, and procedures related to the same. The individual will manage the efforts of a staff software developers and analysts.
Excellent organizational, leadership, decision-making and communication skills are necessary to perform the functions as described. Incumbent must be adept at devising and delivering solution improvements, persuading, and influencing to effect change. Strong business acumen with a sense of shareholder responsibility are essential.
