Description

Cana Communications is seeking an entry level Junior CAD Operator in its Kennesaw, Georgia office. This a part-time position.

The primary job function is to create engineering drawings for low voltage electronic systems utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) knowledge and vendor technical documentation.

Critical skills necessary to be successful in this job include:
Knowledge of AUTOCAD and drafting principles, practices, methods and techniques.

Ability to think logically and to learn the concepts of new electronics and networking technology.

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Reading, writing and arithmetic skills.

Ability to read electrical, mechanical and fire protection construction drawings.

Organizes and uses time well, adjusts to changes in jobs/priorities.

Prepare detailed drawings within the time frames dictated by customers.

Operate computer printers and plotters.

Maintain complete, readily accessible and organized files and records.

Skill in multi-tasking, coordinating simultaneous mental, manual and visual activities; skill in observing situations analytically and documenting details accurately.

Knowledge of how to use basic functions of Microsoft Excel.

Determine and confirm material and equipment needs for each project.

Accept and carry out assignments as assigned.
