Job Summary:

Support plant production needs for daily operation, strapping, wrapping and stenciling finished skids of decorated/raw steel in a manner consistent with Production Order Specifications, with the goal of meeting or exceeding customer requirements.

**Essential Functions: - Performs all assignments in accordance with safety specifications, instructions, and requirements

Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time
Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
Strap skids and prepare for shipment based upon production order
Responsible for safety and quality throughout production
Performs other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager
Follows all company policies and procedures Additional duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
H.S. graduate or equivalent. One (1) year of manufacturing experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, understand and follow all plant safety guidelines and pass required training. Must be able to read, write and understand a work order and stencil instructions. Must be able to determine needs of additional passes and packaging. Must work well in team environment. Ability to use a stretch wrap machine, miter saw, and strapping tools.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to be on feet up to 812 hours per shift
Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb
Requires the exertion of physical strength to start heavy loads of plate (skid of metal) in motion on a roller conveyor with the aid of a pry bar. This must be done approximately ten (10) times per hour over the course of an eight (8) hour shift.
