JOB SUMMARY:

Hanover Bank is looking for a Loan Servicing Specialist III. The Loan Servicing Specialist III reports directly to the Loan Servicing Manager. Supports the loan officers, branch personnel and loan admin staff to ensure quality customer service and data integrity.

Responsible for the servicing of the loan portfolio, including customer service support, cash management, rate adjustments, exception report review and system maintenance.

Process monetary loan transaction requests to include incoming and outgoing wires, loan funding, construction draws, loan payments, participation payments, loan payoffs, loan payment corrections and system maintenance.

Monitors insurance and taxes, daily loan operational functions and assists with various servicing tasks when necessary.


JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Customer Service

  • Review and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Review prepared payoff letters for proper collections of fees prior to mailing.
  • Return all inquiry calls within one business day.

Customer Intake and Data Entry

  • Process payments loans from general ledger entries.
  • Resolve customer, branch, and loan officer issues relating to booked or paid off loans, including adjusting interest method, payments, fees, rates, etc.
  • Process loan related wires and ACH transfers for payments/disbursements.

File System Management

  • Update collateral tracking and ticklers when current information is received.
  • Ensure efficient and accurate processing of loan payments.
  • Clear nonposted items
  • Review daily rates on core system daily to ensure rates are accurately updated in core. Maintain proper records.

Administrative Support

  • Monitor nonpost items, balancing accounts, and loan ACH's.
  • Review daily GL reconciliations and clear outstanding items.
  • Monitor tickler report to ensure ticklers are processed in a timely manner (conversion of construction loans will be handled by booking).
  • Review E-Oscar and ensure customer complaints are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Generate and review daily and monthly reports including Viewpoint /Director and Check-It.
  • Process collections work including / account maintenance / payments/ chargeoff and recovery transactions.
  • Risk rating changes and key data elements updates.
  • Review coworkers daily work.
  • Assist in insurance monitoring records for all loan types.
  • Work with attorney for assignments.
  • Maintain and update assigned Procedures.
  • Register all real estate secured loans with the tax vendor for escrow monitoring via the vendors website. Delete anypaid loans from tax vendor to cancel monitoring.
  • Semiannual audit of tax and insurance vendor's inventory listing vs the banks listing to ensure all loans are monitored by the vendor.
  • Assist and train coworkers.

Additional but not limited to

  • Make recommendations for procedural changes to increase efficiency.
  • Maintain/ update assigned procedure documents.
  • Other duties assigned.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • College degree in business or equivalent business experience.
  • Minimum of 35 years in Bank loan department and/or similar experience.
  • Notary designation a plus.
