About us:
The Intercultural Community Center (ICC) in Westbrook provides youth and adult programs to predominantly immigrant and refugee families. Its largest program, Power School/Summer, is an afterschool and summer learning program designed to meet the specific needs of children of refugee and immigrant families.
This is a temporary, part-time position just for the summer. It will begin the week of June 17th and conclude on August 10th, 2024.
PART TIME POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Up to 30 hours a week
- Transport students to and from their homes to Power Summer at Westbrook Middle School, as well as offsite for weekly field trips
- Manage daily routes for students around Westbrook through Google maps
- Participate in regular staff meetings as necessary
- Maintain the van by making sure it is clean and the fuel tanks are full
- Act as a chaperone for students and classroom support for teachers when not driving
- Complete other tasks as requested
- Clean driving record
- Experience working with youth
- Work effectively in a team environment
- A smartphone with Google Maps capacity
SCHEDULE:
Part time driver schedule is from approx.
7:30am-2pm, Monday through Friday. No weekends, nights or holidays needed.
COMPENSATION:
Compensation is
$21 per hour
Time off available for July 4th and 5th.
