- Hire, support, and supervise team of college interns to build brand awareness, generate on-campus meetings, and identify potential prospects for City Teaching Alliance
- Set vision and strategy for the Campus Activator role and outcomes, including goals and responsibilities for the role, in line with recruitment strategy
- Set annual goals and progress benchmarks for the Campus Activator team and for individual Campus Activators, in line with the broader Recruitment team vision
- Build campaign pipeline for targeted college campuses through sourcing efforts on Handshake, LinkedIn, and RippleMatch
- Manage relationships with University Career Centers to support recruitment efforts
- Research and build a portfolio of contacts across colleges/universities as well as local partner schools to identify potential City Teaching Alliance candidates
- Develop and cultivate relationships with prospective participants throughout the application process through virtual and in-person interactions
- Send weekly outreach invitations to prospective candidates driving them to apply or meet with a recruiter
- Conduct meetings with candidates and stakeholders to discuss the City Teaching Alliance mission, vision, and program
- Invest candidates in our program through storytelling and compelling conversations
- Support and steward candidates through the application process through ongoing cultivation and follow ups
- Uncover key motivations and barriers of prospects to identify most compelling levers for prospect conversions
- Meet weekly benchmarks and goals around meeting conversions, application benchmarks, and event partnerships
- Build partnerships across the team and organization, including site team members, to invest in recruitment best practices and support
- Build partnerships with university stakeholders, campus organizations, and candidate networks to bring additional prospects into the recruitment funnel
- Work closely with Marketing team and Strategy team to determine and execute compelling marketing campaigns on campus with key stakeholders
- Manage recruitment data in Salesforce, ensuring clean and accurate inputs
- Take detailed notes on prospect conversations in order to track progress and monitor follow-up
- Strategize and manipulate data in Salesforce to identify key areas of opportunity
- Positively contribute to and help shape a healthy and thriving team culture
- Commit to anti-racist behaviors and actions
- Seek and implement feedback and engage in learning conversations
- Participate in teacher selection and interview days
- Build and maintain relationships across regional teams to support and enhance recruitment efforts
- Steward candidates through the application process
- Support in the confirmation and retention of accepted candidates through ongoing check-ins and cultivation
- B.S./B.A. degree from an accredited institution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

- Management experience of part time or full time staff
- Ability to analyze data and use analysis to inform strategies and recruitment efforts
- Self-directed and a self-starter who is comfortable operating in gray space

Overview
The Assistant Director of Recruitment and Partnerships is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of the organization's overall resident recruitment strategy, and establishing and cultivating partnerships that will bring additional candidates to City Teaching Alliance. This includes setting a recruitment strategy and goals at a national level, partnering with regions and across the organization to coordinate Recruitment efforts, and managing a team of Recruitment Managers. The AD of Recruitment is also responsible for learning from our recruitment data, and developing and evolving our recruitment strategy over time. They oversee candidate recruitment including our campus and local recruitment strategy, lead generation, outreach and communications, and candidate cultivation. The AD of Recruitment and Partnerships is responsible for meeting all goals around applications, participants who receive offers and sign their Letters of Intent, and participants who show up at Summer Institute.
