    What you'll do...

    Position: Staff Systems Engineer

    Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

    Duties: Understand Dev/app team requirements and project KPIs. Implement various development, testing, automation tools, and Kubernetes infrastructure. Plan the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities. Define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation. Review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project. Troubleshoot techniques and fix the code bugs. Monitor the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and update or create new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage (Cost optimization). Encourage and build automated processes wherever possible. Oversee incidence management and root cause analysis. Coordinate and communicate with the team and with Dev/App team. Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline. Identify manual processes that can be automated. Analyze alerts and its trend and identify possible improvements areas and fine tune the system for performance improvement. Design and publish python-based SDKs for public repo and internal uses for Walmart applications.

    Minimum education and experience required: 6 years of experience in technology infrastructure engineering across areas such as compute, storage, network, mobility or virtualization related technologies; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related area and 4 years of experience in technology infrastructure engineering across areas such as compute, storage, network, mobility or virtualization-related technologies.

    Skills required: Experience designing and implementing automation pipelines in Python, Golang, and Ansible. Experience designing and implementing cloud automations using Python, Terraform, Ansible and Power shell. Experience with remediation pipelines for Kubernetes infrastructure using Jenkins, Python, Golang and ansible. Experience with Compliance and cloud security best practices implementation and enforcement with azure policies and NIST configuration using Python, SQL, CloudFormation, and Ansible. Experience designing and implementing WebAPI using Python Flask and GoLang. Experience designing and implementing cloud migration automations and infrastructure automations using Ansible and Terraform. Experience designing and implementing Splunk based reports and log analyzers using Splunk and Python. Experience with user on-boarding and role assignments automations using Python and Power shell. Experience designing and developing different system and application monitoring plugins using Ruby, Python and shell. Experience defining and implementing Cloud Security best practices and mandatory compliance requirement for FedRAMP using Ansible, AWS Governance, and Azure policies. Experience designing and publishing Python-based SDKs for public repo. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

    Salary Range: $174,518/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
