Position Summary


The Network Technician will work closely with the network team to provide network support, maintenance, expansion and operation across our multiple locations and networks, AWS, data center and disaster recovery sites.

Other responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting network hardware and software issues, including helping to support our Service Desk Team.

Responsibilities include resolving network issues, maintaining network hardware and software, providing 24/7 support for network issues and outages, and providing computer support for employees.


Position Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain all components of the Cisco Network implementations involving software, communications appliances, circuits, routers, and end station devices.
  • Make use of software and hardware tools to observe and regulate performance and status of all network resources, realtime and proactive monitoring of all network and telecommunications systems.
  • Identify and diagnose problems affecting network performance
  • Maintain a secure and highly available LAN/WAN environment to support the mission critical networking requirements.
  • Maintain 24x7x365 coverage and support for network and voice systems. Leverage our change control process and documentation processes.
  • Utilize the deployed network management systems to gather data and produce reports for capacity utilization and performance/scalability planning purposes.
  • Work closely with the Service Desk Team to diagnose and solve complex computer related problems (local and remote). Be a part of 24/7 Oncall support for all systems with a focus on critical/crown jewel systems.

Position Qualifications

  • 5+ years of handson Network Infrastructure and computerrelated support experience with the ability to work as part of a very small team.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Technical Support role, providing white glove support.
  • Team player with demonstrated ability to work well in a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience w/ Active Directory, Group Policy and their use for managing user computer objects.
  • Experience with Windows and MAC OS system features, settings, and installation.
  • Expert level MAC skills.
  • Working knowledge of JAMF, IBM Maas 360 and Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to alter communication style in order to ensure understanding among other varying communication styles/modalities.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented to ensure accurate and timely task completion.
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and as a member of a team, who thrives in a fastpaced environment.
  • Exceptional project coordination skills with proactive problemsolving ability.
  • Selfstarter, with high initiative and comfort level in asking questions and learning from others.
