POSITION TITLE:
Satellite Clinic Supervisor

***: The Satellite Clinic Supervisor is responsible for leading the success and efficiency of all sister sites and private practice offices. The Satellite Clinic Supervisor is also responsible for leadership and supervision of the clinical team members including Medical Assistants and Medical Receptionists engaged in patient care for patients located at our Earlimart, Lindsay, and private office locations.


JOB DUTIES:


This position is responsible for the following:

  • Work and commute to different SFMC clinic and private practice locations as needed and on a regular basis.
  • Record and timely submit all mileage reimbursement data to the Accounting Department for payroll purposes in accordance to federal and state regulations and established standards.
  • Organize and assign duties and tasks to sister site and private office team members.
  • Establish and monitor clinical team member work schedules weekly and request floater(s) as necessary.
  • Monitor daily performance of clinical team members to ensure duties are completed accurately, efficiently and timely.
  • Review and correct timesheets, review and respond to time off requests and coordinate payroll for clinical team.
  • Evaluate performance of clinical team members and conduct verbal and written performance evaluations after 30, 60, 90 days and annually in accordance to established practices and procedures.
  • Assist with interview and onboarding process by conducting departmental/site orientation and training on clinical policies and procedures.
  • Identify and recommend solutions to clinic team members and office issues or problems.
  • Ensure high quality of care for patients by reviewing and researching concerns or complaints.
  • Develop and maintain a positive department work environment with trust, support, and empathy to maintain positive morale and employee retention.
  • Implement and recommend coaching and counseling as needed in conjunction with the Human Resources Department. Document all coaching and counseling.
  • Reports department/internal complaints and concerns to the Human Resources Department in a timely manner and assists with investigations when appropriate.
  • Maintain adequate clinic supplies. Ensure supply purchases are cost efficient and within the budget. Review and approve supply receipts in conjunction with Accounting Department.
  • Ensure clinic equipment remains in operating condition.
  • Ensure clinic setup, equipment, policies, procedures, and practices are in compliance with current state and federal regulations and OSHA/CalOSHA. Identify and recommend corrections/improvements as needed.
  • Assist Medical Assistants and Medical Receptionists with patient flow to ensure patients are seen timely and efficiently.
  • Assist with or conduct periodic staff meetings with clinic team members.
  • Attend leadership meetings with other supervisor/management team including the CFO to relay pertinent information.
  • Attend periodic training sessions and meetings pertinent to position.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must possess and maintain a valid State of California Driver's License.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid CPR Certification.
  • Must demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability and willingness to treat all patients and coworkers with the utmost kindness and consideration in the most trying situations.
  • Ability to handle multifunctions.
  • Promotes and believes in SFMC.
  • Ability to relate to public regardless of ethnic, religious and economic status.
  • Commute 50% 100% of the time to all sister site locations and private practice offices including but not limited to Earlimart, Lindsay, and SPSC private practice locations as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • An AA degree from an accredited institution in a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Knowledge of medical office safety, cleanliness and infection control policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills in Microsoft Office software and HRIS Systems.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems (EMRs). Experience with eClinical Works strongly desired.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent independent judgment, problemsolving, analytical and collaborative skills in order to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, providing patient centered leadership and direction.
  • Must have the emotional intelligence that may include, but not limited to, patience, sensitivity and the compassion to work with patients and team members that may be stressed, anxious, and difficult.
