Description

Work as part of a team to provide a therapeutic milieu environment for children, to further the emotional, behavioral, and educational development of children, and maintain a safe and healthy environment.


Essential Functions for this position include:

  • Directly supervise, plan, and implement social and recreational activities for children
  • Actively participate and respond to supervision and professional development opportunities offered at Walker
  • Abilitiy to perform and implement treatment protocol established in children's treatment plans, IEPs, and individual crisis management plans
  • Properly attend to administrative functions of childcare, including attending required meetings; completing assigned oral and written report writing tasks
  • Administer medication in accordance with Walker's policy and procedures
  • Ability to be flexible and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to respond to emergencies quickly and safely
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, lifting, and phyisical therapeutic interventions
Students pursing continuing education in the following fields are also strongly encouraged to apply: Special Education, Pyschology, and Criminal Justice

From $19.00 per hour
