Job Summary:

The Helicopter Pilot is responsible for ensuring aircraft and weather conditions are airworthy to transport. Responsible for compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), and General Operations Manual guidelines (GOM). Our helicopter, an AgustaWestland AW109S Rotorcraft is a lightweight, twin-engine, eight seat multipurpose helicopter.


Primary Job Duties:

The Helicopter Pilot will have the daily responsibilities, without limitation, to include the following:

  • Operates aircraft in a safe and legal manner
  • Completes preflight before every flight verifying the aircraft is in an airworthy condition by sign off of Daily Flight Log
  • Will perform a complete walk around of the aircraft prior to entering the cockpit for flight and upon completion of each flight
  • Final authority with regard to operations of aircraft and for the safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with all aircraft systems
  • Responsible for completion of required documentation
  • Able to conduct detailed flight planning with little notice to exacting standards
  • Participates regularly in meetings, activities, projects, committees, and community outreach
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:


  • 2000 total flight hours (helicopter)
  • 1000 hours twin turbine helicopter
  • 250 hours instrument preferred
  • FAA Rotorcraft ATP / Commercial Certificate with Instrument Rating
  • Current First / Second Class FAA Medical Certificate
  • No FAA Violations/Warnings in the last five years
  • Ability to conduct activities requiring a moderate to a rigorous amount of static pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting
  • Capable of lifting 40 pounds floor to bench height
  • Ability to hear and respond to routine aircraft noises
  • Require close and distant visual capability
  • Commercial & Instrument Rating (for category and class of aircraft)
  • As a member of the Flight Crew, any person employed in this position shall maintain a "duty" weight not to exceed 250 pounds and shall be less than seventy (70) years old
  • Ability to communicate professionally, effectively, and persuasively
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure, work efficiently and accurately with frequent interruptions, and set/reset multiple priorities
