- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program
- Board certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Neonatology Fellowship Program or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program
- Board Certified in either sub specialty Neonatology or Pediatric critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics or eligible to sit for examination
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Experience in teaching students and residents in Pediatric Hospital Medicine
- Graduated from an approved accredited School of Medicine with an M.D. degree
- At least three years post-graduate training in primary care medicine
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Texas or have the ability to transfer license to Texas
- Certificate or license for prescribing controlled substances
- M.D. or D.O. degree, or foreign equivalent
- Successful completion of an AOA- or ACGME-accredited Pediatrics Residency Program
- Texas medical license, or eligibility for licensure in the state of Texas
- Board certification in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics or the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics
