    Description
    SUSS MicroTec develops and builds precision machinery for the semiconductor industry.

    The technically sophisticated manufacturing of chips takes place in several complex processing steps (microstructuring), for which chip manufacturers utilize our equipment.


    With over seventy years of industrial experience, strong scientific curiosity and high quality standards, we drive forward products and processes.

    In addition to in-house application laboratories, SUSS MicroTec also works in cooperation with leading research institutes.

    We're seeking to expand our capacity by adding an additional experienced Mechanical Design Engineer II/III to our Product Development team located in Williston, Vermont.

    The Williston office is a R&D-focused environment supporting our international manufacturing sites with new product developments.

    Generate design concepts, diagrams, layouts, detail, and assembly drawings
    CAD & Bill of Materials creation and maintenance with SolidWorks & SAP
    Qualify designs through FEA/CFD analysis and empirical testing
    Work within the requirements of internal product development processes including participation in design/project reviews
    S. in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant technical degree)
    Three (plus) years of design engineering of precision machinery
    Fundamental knowledge of electro-mechanical systems (pneumatics a plus)
    Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and finishes
    Proficient in the use of 3D CAD systems, preferably SolidWorks
    Experience with analysis tools a plus, preferably SolidWorks Simulation (FEA) and SolidWorks Flow Simulation (CFD)
    Experience with ERP and PLM systems for document, material, BOM and revisions - preferably SAP
    Domestic and international travel up to 10%
