The
Nutrition Counselor works under the direct supervision of the clinic Nurse Practitioner according to the medical protocol set forth by
Medi-Weightloss Clinics .
Essential Job Functions
- Conducts consultations as delegated by supervising physician with patients regarding the
Medi-WeightlossClinics program - Conducts follow up calls to patients to discuss the patient's progress and address any concerns
- Documents patient progress notes in the patient chart and/or EMR
Non-essential Job Functions
- Performs other clinical duties as required
- Assists with all administrative duties including, but not limited to, answering telephones, scheduling patients, and filing medical records
- Responsible for daily inventory levels of all clinical supplies
- Trains additional staff on daily procedures when requested by the office manager and/or physician
- Participates in clinic marketing efforts and provides ongoing support to promote clinic profitability and success
Requirements:
Minimum High School diploma with formal nutrition training or medical background
Knowledge in physical fitness
Medical Assistant Certificate a great benefit
Other Skills/Abilities
- Motivational counseling/advising skills
- Interpersonal / human relations skills
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work with as part of the clinic team and corporate structure
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time
Pay:
$ $22.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
