SUMMARY Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
  • Determines method of shipment.
  • Checks all packages from UPS, FedEx, and all other suppliers.
  • Tag all samples and log in sample log.
  • Call trucking companies for shipping quotes, schedule pickups as needed.
  • Check inventory stock for sales.
  • Prepare bill of lading.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Examines outgoing shipments and prepares for shipping.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Load and unload pallets from trucks.
  • Stamp date on all incoming batteries before putting on shelf.
  • Run UPS and FedEx report at close of day.
  • Clean warehouse and empty all trash in building.
  • Shred confidential paperwork at end of day.
  • Make deliveries if needed.
  • Notify all willcall customers when order is ready.
