Description:
We are Lockheed Martin**Selected individual will become part of the Production Control Support Services Management team in Palmdale.

Individual will be responsible for a group of subordinate employees in Transportation, Conservation Sales and Chemical Management providing support to multiple manufacturing areas at Plant 10.

Individual will ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (Federal and State) requirements for transportation of shipments including HazMat, permitted loads, etc.

Individual must be a self starter, posses strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to lead and direct subordinates.

Will utilize MRP (Material Review Processes), SAP, and Palmdale order location systems.

Will attend / chair status meeting advising management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.

Must have the ability to resolve issues that may arise in the manufacturing process by interfacing with all supporting organization.

Must be flexible, open minded and capable of managing multiple tasks. Collaborate with Labor Relations and Human Resources to enhance employee engagement.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:


  • 4 years of Leadership or Management experience required
  • Experience with manufacturing systems such as MRP, SFM or EWI
  • Must have experience working in a Union/Represented environment
  • Experience with

Microsoft Office Suite:
Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint


Desired Skills:


  • Experience with
Driver Management, such as Hours of Service, Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)

  • Biennial Inspection Terminal (BIT), and Dispatch
Experience with Electronic Logging Devices (ELD), such as ZONAR Fleet Management or equivalent

  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT)
regulations (Federal and State)

  • Handson knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Knowledge of SAP, ERP4C, Shipping/Receiving and Warehouse procedures
  • Knowledge of chemical management
  • Experience interfacing with and presenting to multiple levels of leadership

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.


Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.


Schedule for this Position:4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
