ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Selected candidates will work on a project team implementing a new, Voter Registration system for use by county election officials and our Client's Elections Division.
These systems also support Election Management functions, and they integrate with numerous other systems at the county and the state level.
The solution implemented will replace multiple, legacy systems in both the counties and the state. This project is expected to require multiple years to complete.Originally, we just wanted someone that can be heads down testing.
We still want that but also someone that can help with building out automated testing once TotalVote is more stable.
Ideally, we need someone who has a good mix of manual and automated testing. Previous submissions seemed more one-sided. Local to Nevada is preferred but not exactly necessary if it is a good skill set.QUALIFICATIONS:
As a Quality Assurance Analyst on this project, you can expect to be tasked with some, all or none of the following activities: Good mix of both manual and automated testing.
Automated testing:
Ability to create automated test cases and working knowledge of automation frameworks.
Test Execution:
Execute test cases to identify defects, ensure functionality, and verify that the software meets quality standards.
Defect Tracking:
Document and track defects, issues, and deviations from project specifications. Work closely with project team to troubleshoot and resolve identified issues.
Regression Testing:
Perform regression testing to ensure that new software versions or updates do not adversely affect existing functionality.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including vendors, product managers, and business analysts, to communicate testing progress, issues, and recommendations.
Documentation:
Create and maintain documentation related to testing processes, test cases, and testing results.
Testing Tools:
Familiarity with testing tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, and others.
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues effectively.
Communication:
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey testing results and recommendations to stakeholders.
Attention to Detail:
Thorough attention to detail to ensure comprehensive test coverage and accurate defect reporting.
Adaptability:
Ability to adapt to changing project requirements, priorities, and timelines.
Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Election Domain Knowledge:
Preferred but not required.
