- Coordinate work efforts. Lead Developers will help coordinate work efforts within the M365 environment for peers and other team members.
- Assist and mentor peers. Lead Developers will be considered the subject matter experts in all things SharePoint and other M365 modules. Team members will be encouraged to consult their Lead developer regarding work item questions, ideas, and impediments.
- Leading the creation of user interface applications. Lead Developers will guide a team of developers to build scalable and secure applications, either as standalone interfaces or those that require access to servers.
- Write and modify code. Lead Developers will write and modify code to build applications and sites for requestors based on the needs and requirements.
- Debug SharePoint applications. Lead Developers will debug the application to ensure all functionality is working as expected.
- Monitors work progress and quality. Lead Developers will be involved with thorough testing to ensure the applications get completed on time, and is defect free.

Job Description:
Under limited supervision, Lead SharePoint Developers create and configure SharePoint websites, find solutions to enhance business activity and customize sites based on the requestor's requirements.
This Lead IT Application Developer position will provide a full range of software analysis, configuration, development, and implementation activities within our current SharePoint Online environment, along with other M365 modules inside of the State's tenant.
This individual will perform activities to support and maintain SharePoint Team and Communication sites and subsites for various agencies within the State.
Job dutiesWithin the SharePoint Online and M365 environments, a Lead Developer will:
o Create design specifications
o Prepare project/work plans
o Resolve Conflicts
o Develop a good understanding of software licensing
o Vendor relationships
o Manage software/vendor ticket escalations
o Develop and implement responsive SharePoint sites
o Develop and implement business processes and workflows
o Create Forms
o Microsoft Teams
o Create test plans
o Create end user training
o Provide production support
These job duties will be performed with limited supervision using the appropriate developer toolsets.
Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering or other related field and two years of experience, education, or training in coding computer applications; programming experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis, one year of which as a project coordinator, leader, or supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two full years or more of experience with business data connectivity, reporting services, search, Power BI, Power Platform, Bootstrap, .NET and C#, master pages, and template customization.
Other:Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Candidates must have strong service oriented, interpersonal skills and analytical skills that include working directly with various levels of business and technical staff to help coordinate and communicate application support and release management activities.
Experience with coordinating work with other teams, mentoring senior team members on functional and technical assignments and prioritizing and managing multiple projects and tasks.
