Job Summary:


As a Shipping Associate at Human-I-T, you will play a crucial role in the fulfillment and distribution process of our e-commerce sales and donated device distributions.

This position involves handling detailed outbound logistics to ensure that all orders are processed accurately and delivered in a timely manner.

You will work under the supervision of the Shipping Supervisor to execute the picking, packing, and shipping of orders, with a strong focus on maintaining quality and efficiency throughout all shipping operations.


This position is located in a secure, NAID AAA certified and ISO certified facility, ensuring the highest standards of data security and operational integrity.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment, all new hires are required to undergo a background check and drug screening prior to their start date.

Our active warehouse setting presents inherent risks such as equipment operation, material handling, and the need for constant vigilance to prevent accidents.


Duties & Responsibilities:

Order Picking and Packing:

  • Retrieve (pick) orders according to specific requirements such as quantity, size, and product type, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify the best packaging solutions to minimize damage during transit and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Securely pack orders, focusing on minimizing void space and optimizing material use.
  • Palletize large orders for freight pickups, ensuring they are stable and securely wrapped for safe transportation.

Shipping Coordination and Logistics:

  • Coordinate the placement of outbound orders in designated delivery areas for pickup.
  • Manage logistics related to outbound shipments, including scheduling FedEx pickups and creating return labels for customers.
  • Sequence work effectively to meet shipping deadlines within agreedupon service level agreements (SLAs).

Order Management and Quality Control:

  • Confirm order details and update information accurately in the shipping system to ensure that records are current and correct.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality in boxing and palletizing, adhering to best practices to ensure product safety and customer satisfaction.

Collaboration and Support:


  • Collaborate with other teams within the facility, such as the product & order fulfillment team, to assist with boxing and packaging as needed.
  • Respond to fluctuations in demand and adjust activities to handle changes in order volume efficiently.

Inventory and Warehouse Management:


  • Maintain an inventory of shipping and receiving supplies, placing orders, and verifying receipt to ensure availability.

Keep the warehouse organized and maintain optimal conditions for storage and accessibility.

Safety and Compliance:


  • Adhere to established safety standards and participate in regular safety trainings.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain cleanliness in work areas.

Qualifications:


  • Experience in a shipping, logistics, or warehouse role preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle physical requirements of the position.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and tools for inventory and shipping management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
