Creative Culinary Management Company ("CCMC") is a hospitality company founded in 2020 by Jean-Georges Restaurant Holding Company.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Tin Building by Jean-Georges is a sprawling food emporium located inside one of New York's most historic landmarks.

The TIN Building features multiple unique venues:

Several full-service restaurants, fast casual, and counter dining outlets as well as 10,000 sf of retail featuring private label products, grab and go, grocery and more.

To support this significant operation the Marketplace features a large commissary kitchen and bakery, as well as an exhibition kitchen that will provide media opportunities.


The Howard Hughes Corporation, the nationally recognized real estate company overseeing the re-development of New York City's Seaport District, envisions the repositioning of the property as a magnet for attracting locals and visitors alike with a unique, year-round blend of entertainment, food, and retail offerings.

The centerpiece of the Seaport District's renaissance is an entirely re-imagined historic TIN Building, featuring a one-of-a-kind Marketplace and entertainment venue operated by renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.

***: ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and welcome guests as they explore the retail spaces, creating a positive and inviting atmosphere.
  • Actively interact with guests and recommend products and restaurants with checkout items.
  • Assist guests in selecting and recommending products that meet their needs and preferences.
  • Provide product information, features, and benefits to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately, following company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are welldisplayed and shelves are stocked.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the store.
  • Stay up to date on product knowledge, promotions, and sales events to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally and effectively.
  • Participate in training programs to continuously improve product knowledge and customer service skills.
  • Upsell and crosssell products to enhance the customer experience and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Work with the retail management team to implement merchandising and visual display guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting periodic stock checks.
  • Follow all safety and security protocols to ensure a safe shopping environment for customers and staff.
  • Operate cash registers and process transactions in a timely and effective manner.
  • Oversee and maintain high cleanliness standards for cashier work area.
  • Follow all organizational procedures for products displayed near/at the cash register area.
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures.
  • Present and cross utilize products to enhance the guest experience and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Perform all other tasks as duties as assigned and/or per business need.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:


  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Retail Salesperson and/or relevant equivalent experience in customer service.
  • Prior grocery, culinary, hospitality or specialty food experience preferred.
  • Exceptional guest service and interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to remain organized in a fast paced, handson environment.
  • Basic math skills for processing transactions.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays, as required.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Professional demeanor and polished appearance.
