We have an exciting opportunity for a Utility Worker to join our dynamic team at Heartland Human Care Services As a Utility Worker, you'll play a key role in maintaining our kitchen operations and supporting our mission to make a positive impact in the community

Duties & Responsibilities:

Operates dishwashing machines, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Washes dishes and utensils, maintaining cleanliness in storage areas.
Cleans food production areas, ensuring a sanitary environment.
Disposes of garbage and recyclables responsibly.
Assists in basic food preparation and transportation of program foods.
Provides transportation of program foods in agency vehicle to any location that necessitates food delivery. Transportation and deliveries are based on programmatic needs and separated by location (Southside to Southside/ Northside to Northside programs)
Attends training programs and adheres to safety policies.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of six months experience in a kitchen environment.
Illinois Food Handler's Certification.
Must be 25 years old with a valid driver's license and a clear driving record.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (K/S/A):

Strong organizational and sanitation abilities.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Proficient in basic math.
Ability to work independently and problemsolve effectively.
