Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Operates dishwashing machines, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
  • Washes dishes and utensils, maintaining cleanliness in storage areas.
  • Cleans food production areas, ensuring a sanitary environment.
  • Disposes of garbage and recyclables responsibly.
  • Assists in basic food preparation and transportation of program foods.
  • Provides transportation of program foods in agency vehicle to any location that necessitates food delivery. Transportation and deliveries are based on programmatic needs and separated by location (Southside to Southside/ Northside to Northside programs)
  • Attends training programs and adheres to safety policies.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Illinois Food Handler's Certification.
  • Must be 25 years old with a valid driver's license and a clear driving record.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (K/S/A):


  • Strong organizational and sanitation abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Proficient in basic math.
  • Ability to work independently and problemsolve effectively.
